Camera Camp Trek!
Fuelled by my photography I spend a lot of time walking ,climbing and camping in all sorts of places. However the photography always comes first.
Wildlife , landscapes and a special passion for photographing Butterflies all with my Fujifilm set up which I have been using exclusively now for nearly 10 year since I first aquired my original XT1 after being a Nikon user for the years beforehand such as the Niokon D3 and up to the Nikon D500 and D5 before switching to Fuji.
This channel is a plce for my trips out and about with my cameras including occasional looks at some of the equipment I use ort anything I decide to share basically!
Along side my photography I will show my camping trips ,hikes and maybe some sort of reviews on various bits and pieces of gear that I use .

Wildlife Photography . Roe deer on Salisbury plain with Fuji XT5
Had some of my best Roe deer interactions of the year recently and managed to capture some footage that is spread throughout the video plus some talk about my camera and settings etc.
More to come with the wildlife as the meadows come to life and looking forward to making some videos with the Butterflies and some more macro work.
Thanks for watching!

After using this Decathlon Forclaz MT500 Air for a few wild camps and hikes now I thought I would do an initial review video going over the main features and showing the bag and thoughts from first use. Will do a follow up review in 6 months or so to see how the bag has fared from more hard use over the next few months . So far a nice bag comfortable when fully loaded and seems robust enough bu...

Saw a review with someone complaining that it developed a squeaky sound after some use. Did you face any such issues?
Hi , No I havent had this. Have used it a lot as well now . Thank you
@@CameraCampTrek Thank you so much for confirming. Got the bag today, hopefully it serves well!
@@user-yo7pi6uh4iHi maybe you have used the bag for some trips, would you like to share some of your experience regarding whether it gets squeaky? By the way, may I ask whether you saw people complaining about the 50+10 version or the 60+10 version?
@@user-yo7pi6uh4iI got a 60+10 one and it gets extremely squeaky and thus annoying as long as it carries more than 3 kg load.
Ciao ottima recensione bravo like
Hi Thank you
May I ask you what camera and lens you used during the hike :) Thank you! I am an amateur of photography. Recently I bought Canon 550D, very old camera :) but still good
Ah! Sorry, there are some videos where you mentioned it, it is Fujifilm XT5, I see.
@@ekselenUi Hi this video I was using my Old Fuji XT2 which I still use one of my favourites still. I did not have the XT5 at the time.
Her I was using my old Fuji XT2 ( did not have XT5 at time )
@@CameraCampTrek Thank you for reply and for your time :)
Looks like mountains of Tolkien tails :) So peacful!
yes! Funny I listen to the soundtrack to Lord of the rings often as I am driving through the mountains!
I think to buy it. It isn't cheap for me, I am in Ukraine, but seems pretty good.
HI Yes depending where you live may be more expensive. Thank you
@@CameraCampTrek Thank you! :)
Thank you!
Great review, we bought this for my daughter from decathlon for £95 and we were really impressed but your review made it even better! Thanks.
Hi , good to hear! Thank you for taking the time to comment as well!
👍
Hii
Hiii I see you
Hello !!
Nice video 👍
Thank you ,cheers!
Those views are something else - absolutely spectacular. Some fantastic shots with the camera 😊👍🏼
Thank you. Its one I will return to later in the year again when theres more snow on the peaks again. I nearly did this in Feb last trip but went somewhere else kicking myself as the light was sublime last time! Still will go back in better conditions. Cheers!
@@CameraCampTrek I can imagine it will be stunning in its winter coat. Be great to see it. Heading up to Scotland in June - near the Cairngorms, but glencoe just looks so beautiful
@@craig-outdooradventure4632 Enjoy! Take a midge net !!!
Curious how your bag held up in the rain at the end there? Just got one in and I'm really liking it so far, haven't had a chance to take it out in the wild yet tho
Hi thanks for watching , had it in heavy rain a few times now and it has held fine. Although I have sprayed it with Fabsil now and also use a light bagliner ( bin liner type) just in case. No complaints still though with the bag.
Wow - stunningly beautiful views of the three sisters. Amazing pitch. The helm 1 never fails. Thanks for taking us along with you 👍🏼
Thank you! Yes great place to pitch and the Helm is a class act! Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment.
Looks great 👍
Ello nice pictures you took your very high up
I have the 70li one. It doesn’t have the sleeping bag compartment at the bottom. And yes, it has a mesh pocket on the sides to hold stuff like tripods or poles in.
Useful to know thanks !
Great video 👌
Thank you !
@@CameraCampTrek 👍
could you go a little deeper in what you are carrying on that backpack? How much camera gear or which small camera bag/insert is that? how much clothes and food? I'm wondering if this backpack would be enough for 3-5 days backpacking with some camera gear.
Hi for me I know its big enough for 5 days etc but obviously we are all different with what we use and like to take. I have done a 3 night trip with it and I had everything I needed. Spare change of clothes and merino wool leggings/top for bed. Food I took enough packs of dehydrated for each day and breakfast also various snacks for the day that all went int he top pouch. I use a small and light cooking setup which uses the speedster alcohol stove . The bag for my camera gear was just a cheap one form amazon I just looked to add the link for you but it appears they dont do it anymore but it measures 27cm L 15cm W 15cm H. I take 3 lenses and one body in it ( Fuji XT2 and lenses). They do do a 60L version of the bag if you needed slightly more space. Hope that helps
@@CameraCampTrek Wow ! Thank you. And good thing we use the same camera so even better comparison hahaha I'm not entirely sure of my landscape kit yet. But probably something like 10-24mm, 7artisans 35mm (this is tiny) and 70-300mm. A few variants could go in there such as the 16-80 or a viltrox13mm. But I'd try to mainly carry as little camera as possible since I find carrying too much makes me take less photos sometimes. From what you are saying, it seems like my kit would fit in there. I'm still trying to find the pieces for it all. Thank you for the feedback!
@@calebe16 Ha yes! I had my XT2 with the 55-200 14mm 23mm f/1.4 with a viltrox 33 squeezed in as well last trip. All best cheers !

You dog isn't ignoring you. He's keeping watch for the crows. You are well-protected. Nice backpack. I use the Forclaz Easyfit. It's interesting seeing the differences between them.
Hi thank you for taking time to leave a comment! Yes he was indeed keeping an eye on them , his daily ritual is trying to keep them out of his garden. cheers !
